CUSTOMWORKS AND SPEKTRUM present the 2011 King of Wings & Lord of Latemodels to be held Friday Sept 30th at K-10/Maryville, IL and Sat Oct 1st at Allen's R/C in Rochester, IL!!!
This years format is slightly different than in years past where now your combined finish between both races in each class culminate to anoint the 2011 "King of Wings" and "Lord of Latemodels" title. Also qualifying will be conducted using the "qualifying points" system with a best "1 of 2 rounds" format being used to ensure each qualifying round is an opportunity to earn your best possible starting position.

Sat Oct. 1st at Allen's:

-10th spot in the A main will be reserved for the highest A main finisher from Maryville who has not made the A main.

TQ and Top Finishers awards for the A mains of each race will be provided by Doug Canham of Canhams Graphics and CustomWorks.
Grab bag prizes for main finishers who aren't able to bump up provided by Spektrum, Dynamite, Horizon Hobby and CustomWorks.
Start times for the first heat will be held flexible and on the decision of the hosts tracks. Typically Maryville starts around 6p and Allen's around 2-3p. This is to adjust for entry size, weather, etc... The Allen's portion of the race has dropped the 3rd round and added the extra bump size to help get done at a better hour and provide more opportunity to race.
Rain options: There is no rain date for the Maryville race. Qualifying after a completed round(s) will be how finishing order is determined in the event of rain. The rain out plan for the Allen's race is to smile and have fun on the carpet track with street trac tires only so all is not lost.
Look to see everyone at the events!
